    logged out to soon?

Can we have the time extended a little before we get logged out?
I've noticed on my phone previously I only have to be inactive for a minute and have to log back in again.

I also just replied to a thread and was logged out before I could even type the reply (on my desktop). Im not that slow at typing!!!!

5 minutes instead of 1 would be a lot easier. If you get logged out before you make the post you have to log in and start over. Even worse if you are trying to do pics, I still haven't managed to do it yet (although the sticky post explaining it was extremely helpful) I still gave up.

Not sure if other users have noticed this?

    Great site.

    Thanks all.

Have you tried selecting the "Remember Me" option?, it will keep you logged in until you log out manually.

Thanks, Jim, I thought the "remember me" option was so I didn't have to type my details in every time I log on, for the past 5 years I religiously hit it, I'm a lazy one fingered typer

The "remember me" is the option you want but keep in mind it uses cookies to "remember" you. If you clear your cookies or prevent your browser from storing them then you're not going to be remembered.

I haven’t ‘logged in’ for the last 6 months or so... I do my browser clean up roughly twice a year... so if you click the save password/remember you should be fine...
however if you are logging in the ‘incognito/private tab’ -the thought has crossed my mind a few times (especially when purchases were happening) to keep it all away from the ‘overwatch’s’ eyes

Thanks for your reply and sorry for the delay.

I have this enabled, I don't have to type my password each time, I still get logged out very quickly each time and need to hit the log in tab again. Its never really been a problem as I don't post much anyway, although it may be a problem if ever I do want to post pics.

if no one else is having trouble,(as it seems) it may be something to do with my browser settings?
I don't have any trouble with other websites or forums, but ill have a look and see if I can find anything.

    Cheers.

It's all to do with cookies, as I said in my post above, #4, if you have your browser set to refuse or delete cookies then it won't remember you.
