    Richo here,

    Hi all,

First time poster short time lurker, Iím Richo, have been collecting a few knifes for a few years and recently thought about making my own as a bit of a project, itís a slippery slope of reading and watching hours and hours of YouTube, finally bit the bullet and ordered the ďmake your own knifeĒ kit from gameco, well actually ordered 2, and down the rabbit hole I went!!

Needless to say Iíve found my new hobby, itís not perfect but for my first attempt Iím really happy with how itís turned out as I normally suck as this sort of thing, maybe because I have no other option other than going slow.

One of the hardest things I found was the heat treatment, but after chopping up an old gas cylinder and using a 12v air pump as a blower I finally had a fire hot enough to get an even temp.

Anyway looking forward to learning more and more

    Richo here,

Knife number 2 completed, made for a female friend hence the smaller handle, 1075 steel with copper bolster and pins and some wood I found in the shed as scales, still learning but happy with the progress Iím making,
