How can I send you a detailed script lettering to you? I am looking to go with a really hard steel that has the ability to impart really detailed impressions. Cheers.

Yes you can send it to me.
I can make fine stamps for jewelers, but the cost difference is almost 400% compared to the common blacksmith stamp.
The hardest steel I will use is D2 hardened to about 58 HRC.

Have not posted here for a while, here are a few latest stamps made.
Currently I have upgraded my machines and techniques, the stamps are now can be made in very high resolution.

For Jende Industries USA https://www.jendeindustries.com/ 25 mm wide in D2

For Stewart De Swardt 30 mm wide in D2 for cold stamping

And a few orders during the recent IronFest made in H-13 for hot stamping

If you wish to order a stamp, please read my FAQ on FAQ - Gelandangan Marking Systems for the image requirements.

I'm thinking of ordering a stamp, but just so no one's time is wasted could you give me some vague idea of price? I know you need a design to quote on but I have no idea - are we talking the region of $10 or $1000 for the average knife maker's mark? What was the cost of the last two in the previous post?

Steel stamps averages at $250 each.
The sizes does not determine the price, it is the complexity of the job that make the difference.
The more complex the job, the higher the price.
Each feature on the stamp are calculated separately to ensure that the details are properly shown when machined, I take no short cut on my jobs, thus prices for each stamps are usually calculated separately.

I think I may need to order a new stamp soon. I was using mine on an annealed blade on the weekend, and suffice to say that the blade may not have been as well annealed as I thought it was...
