    Boker applegate fairbairn

Just looking for some feedback about these, do they have sharp edges from the factory? How is the fit and finish? Do you like them? Thanks!

Have a couple of these and certainly not razor sharp from the factory, but sharp enough not to be deemed blunt. Sharpness is not at the top of priorities with a knife of this type.....itís a stabby stabby, not slicey dicey . Design and feel is pretty much what you would expect of a dagger designed for Fairbairns style of fighting.
Fit and finish is typical of a knife from a high volume manufacturer, which IMO means itís functional but not perfect. Grinds are accurate and symmetrical. Delrin handle feels comfortable and is relatively durable (definitely more durable than Blackjacks early 90ís version of the AF). Blade is of 440C, while not a super steel, is again perfectly fine for the type.
Tang is only 3/4, with weights inserted into handle to aid balance. A feature which would be redundant if it had a full tang. Happy to take the handle off mine to show you weights if its of interest.
All in all, a good and affordable middle of the road dagger.

Black blade gets an extra couple of points.
