Been working on using up all those little off-cuts and scrap ends. Consequently I've got a couple of mini-cleavers and two other small knives on the go, in amongst some hunters I'm making. I just etched up this one today, Takefu Super Gold 2, and really happy with the way it came out. The spine is file worked and chipped on the leading edge, blade has a grape seed cross section onto the cutting edge and I cut back toward the spine a bit to give some pattern to the upper flanks.

Seems to have slowed down somewhat since it's initial patina that it took on.

It has darkened slightly but a long way to go.

I need to forget about it for several months and hopefully get a surprise I'm looking for.
