New level of ocd knife minimalism

I have condensed my knives into this tin for 4 folders (2 crks, a schrade 8ot and a bone handled boker) and one fixed blade (fiddleback forge bushcrafter jr)

I then have another tin with almost the exact same contents (an inkosi instead of a 21)

This is about as much as I'm willing to carry around anymore

I still also have a McIntyre utility i might try to sell, a fiddleback handyman in the exchange, a couple gec bullnoses I'm not sure what to do with and a schrade 123ot... but yeah, keeping it pretty simple...

its an interesting question and topic of debate as to how many of anything is enough, perspectives vary dependant on many factors as individual and unique as each of us.

I thought my OCD was only triggered by getting absolute perfect primary bevels by hand on a waterstone. Almost impossible but a real brain scratch...

OCD is more than just attempted perfectionism, Some sufferers will wash all the skin off of their hands and still feel the need to scrub their bleeding palms.
we tend to use these terms lightly but a look at the verified and diagnosed cases put things into perspective.

exactly, sufferers HAVE to do the behaviour and follow it through to whatever end, it is compulsive, they have no choice in the matter. My youngest son is on the autistic spectrum (he is only mild) and I see some compulsive behaviour displayed by him and am thankful he doesn't suffer more severe compulsive habits.

I am also a collector of things , & find the relationship between collecting & autism to be related.
You really have to possess a special personality, that we think no one else understands, I mean knife collection in particular, & that's a special crazy one for me...lol
I used to collect Murano glass & did well from buying & selling, but that's another kind of "special crazy", because if you dont have an eye for it, then forget collecting Murano glass, you will get burnt."
We are a special breed, & I personally believe, we are more intelligent than most; I mean that sincerely to forum members particularly, we just seem smarter than most...
We all have non collector friends that think we are crazy people cause we like knives..lol. It aint just about the pointy, its much deeper than that. Steel is in small part responsible for making our brains bigger.
Anyways, Cheers & welcome to the spectrum. Autism is a gift, not a sentence.
